Il catalogo della mostra ospitata a Firenze nelle sale dell’Istituto
universitario olandese di storia dell’arte, dal 28 febbraio al 19 aprile 2019, riproduce
dieci disegni a matita dell’artista danese Signe Kongsgaard Mogensen.
“Visto il suo doppio background di artista visivo e storica dell’arte”, scrive
Dennis Geronimus nel testo introduttivo, “non ci stupisce che Signe abbia tratto
ispirazione da una vasta gamma di fonti. Il suo lavoro ha origine dal suo
interesse per la scienza, la letteratura, la poesia e le arti visive. Le sue ambizioni
concettuali e tecniche sono cresciute gradualmente nel tempo, in parallelo con
le dimensioni fisiche dei disegni stessi”.

The catalog of the exhibition hosted in Florence, in the
halls of the Dutch University Institute of Art History, from 28th February to 19th April
2019, reproduces ten pencil drawingsl by the Dutch artist Signe Kongsgaard
Mogensen.
“Given her background as both a visual artist and art historian”, as Dennis
Geronums writes, “it is no surprise that Signe has drawn on a wide range of
sources for inspiration. Her work has developed from her interests in science,
literature, poetry, and the visual arts. Signe’s conceptual and technical
ambitions have grown gradually with time, in parallel with the physical dimensions
of the drawings themselves”.
