Palermo, June 6th. - (Adnkronos) - Limpid, bereft of rhetoric and rich in real stories where every image is the equivalent of a story. This is the appearance of the photographic repertoire of Fosco Maraini, the Tuscan anthropologist, orientalist, writer and photographer whose anthological exhibition “Il Miramondo” will be open to the public from tomorrow at 17.00 in Palermo, in the baroque rooms of Palazzo Butera. The exhibition, which had its preview in Florence in 1999, coinciding with the publication of Maraini’s first biography, entitled “Case, amori, universi”, then went on to Rome and more recently to Tokyo.
“The layout of the exhibition” explained Francesco Vergara, director of the regional center of the catalogue, who contributed to the organization of the exhibition “takes us through an iconographical story that tells us about many distant universes which Maraini, the professional traveler, has been able to explore through the eye of camera” (www.adnkronos.com). |

Antropologo, orientalista, scrittore, fotografo. |
