Andrea Ponsi opera nei campi della progettazione
architettonica, del design, della pittura e della scrittura.
È autore di Florence - A Map of
Perceptions e San Francisco - A Map
of Perceptions (University of Virginia Press, 2010 e 2016) dedicati alla percezione
e rappresentazione dello spazio urbano, e di L’architettura dell’analogia e Disegnare
analogie (LetteraVentidue Edizioni, 2013 e 2016) sul ruolo del pensiero
analogico nella progettazione.
Ha insegnato come Visiting Professor presso l’University of Cali-fornia a
Berkeley, l’University of Virginia, la Syracuse University e l’Istituto
Technion in Israele. Dal 2017 è Paul. H. Kea Distinguished Professor presso
l’University of Maryland. È Membro Corrispondente dell’Accademia delle Arti del
Disegno di Firenze.
Andrea Ponsi’s activity includes architecture and city
