She has conducted research in the fields of both literature and linguistics.She has investigated aspects of Latin-American literature, with particular attention to Chilean poetry. Within this context she has analysed the work of Gabriela Mistral. Subsequently, she studied the works by Violeta Parra, considering the interaction between literature and folklore. Lastly, she has examined the elements of vernacular poetry found in the work of Nicanor Parra.Her research in the sphere of Argentine literature has led to the publication of a book on the poet Juan Gelman.Her research in the field of linguistics has led to the presentation of a paper at the Congresso della Società Internazionale di Linguistica e Filologia Italiana [Congress of the International Society of Italian Linguistics and Philology] held in Siena on March 29, 1989. In the same year, upon invitation, she held a conference on "La traduzione come strumento didattico" [Translation as a teaching tool] at the University of Siena Linguistics Center. These papers were the basis for subsequent articles written on these topics.Based on various years of teaching activity, she compiled a Manual of American Spanish, published in 2005.Team work in the CEXECI- University of Florence Conference, was dedicated to the study of the imaginary in Latin-America, resulting in the writing of two articles entitled: La favola fantascientifica di Lugones e Quiroga [The science fiction tale of Lugones and Quiroga]and La búsqueda de la identidad nacional a través de la oralidad en la lengua literaria argentina [The search for national identity through oral language in Argentinian literature] between 2006 and 2008.She has worked with the journal Collectivo R and in 2008 published an article entitled "Juan Gelman: la lingua dell’esilio" (Juan Gelman: the language of exile) and in 2009 an article "Viaggiare nelle parole: il sovversivo approdo nel tango" (A journey into words: the subversive haven in the tango).She has also worked with the journal “Lingue e Linguaggi", University of Salento, where in 2012 she published an article entitled "L’esperienza poetica nell’Argentina degli anni Sessanta" (The poetic experience in Argentina during the Sixties) and with the journal LEA, University of Florence, where in 2012 she published the article entitled "Importanza della diversità diatopica nell’insegnamento della lingua spagnola come L2" (The importance of diatopic diversity in the teaching of Spanish as a second language).
