Giovanni Tata nasce a Taranto nel 1954. Ha conseguito il B.S. (Bachelor of Science) e l’M.A. (Master of Arts) presso la Brigham Young University (Utah, U.S.A.), oltre al Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) presso l’Università dello Utah. Dal 1996 è direttore del Creative Works della BYU. È stato direttore e fondatore della Taras Development Corporation, una compagnia che sviluppa software per l’insegnamento e la valutazione, nonché della TranSoft International Inc., azienda specializzata nella creazione di dizionari e traduttori digitali.
Dr. Giovanni Tata has been with Creative Works since it’s inception in 1996. In his position as director, he acts as intermediary between the academic interests of the faculty, the commercial interests of business and the concerns of the university. Prior to joining Brigham Young University, Dr. Tata, was the Chairman and founder of Taras Development Corporation, a software company which developed and marketed a universal teaching machine for Computer Based Training and Evaluation. Dr. Tata was also the founder and president of TranSoft International, Inc., a company that specialized in creation of dictionaries, spellers, and machine translation programs. He received his B.S. and M.A. from Brigham Young University and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
